It’s a continuing controversy – should you as a printer owner use OEM printer cartridges or compatible printer ink cartridges. OEM cartridges are those that share the brand of your printer, and these cost a lot. Manufacturers say OEM delivers better image quality and will not damage your printer. Compatible ink cartridges are mostly refilled and generic ones. But these are much more affordable than their OEM counterparts. So which is better to use? Can the public rely on the printing quality of non OEM cartridges? According to one study, compatible printer ink cartridges are not only more affordable, they also produce more printed pages compared to their branded competition.
